Individual therapy for adults stepping away from expectations and into authenticity.
Virtually Serving Virginia, Ohio, & Kentucky
YOU’VE OUTGROWN THE ROLES YOU WERE TAUGHT TO PLAY.
Maybe it was the fixer, the high achiever, the peacekeeper — or the one who made themselves small so others could feel big.
These roles may have helped you survive, but they’re not who you are anymore.
Now, you’re craving something deeper: authenticity, self-trust, and a life that feels like your own.
YOU’RE NOT TOO MUCH. THE BOX IS JUST TOO SMALL.
If you’ve ever been made to feel like you’re too sensitive, too intense, or too complicated — like you take up more space than others are comfortable with...
...know this: the issue isn’t who you are, but how others respond to complexity, depth, and emotion.
IT’S NOT EASY LEANING INTO THE QUIET REBELLION OF BEING YOURSELF.
But you’ve already taken steps, even when it’s felt like walking uphill.
Maybe not loudly or all at once, but in small, meaningful ways: questioning old expectations, setting new boundaries, or simply allowing yourself to want more.

Perhaps that’s what brings you here:
the desire to make more space for who you are, not just who you were told to be.
If you’re someone who notices everything — the unspoken tension, the shifting energy in the room, the emotions no one names — it can be hard to find space for your own inner world.
Maybe you learned to blend in, to smooth things over, to stay agreeable so others felt comfortable.
But that kind of self-abandonment comes at a cost. It can show up as anxiety, resentment, burnout, or a quiet ache you can’t quite name.
I’m glad you’re here.
YOU MIGHT COME TO THERAPY FEELING:
Emotionally drained, overwhelmed, or always on edge
Burned out from always being “the strong one”
Disconnected from your sense of self
Stuck in relationships that leave you feeling unseen or responsible for too much
In a major life shift — a breakup, a move, a role change, or a “what now?” season
Struggling to name your needs after years of prioritizing everyone else’s
THIS IS A SPACE WHERE YOU DON’T HAVE TO TONE YOURSELF DOWN — WHERE YOUR FULL HUMANITY IS WELCOME.
Not just the polished or palatable parts, but also the messy, contradictory, and still-in-progress parts of you.
Therapy can offer a place to exhale; where you don’t have to be “on.” You can show up messy, quiet, angry, grieving, or unsure, and still be met with compassion.
In counseling, we’ll work together to support you in unlearning who you were told to be and reclaiming who you’ve always been.
A radical act of coming home to yourself.
WHO I WORK WITH
I work with adults who feel things deeply and often carry an unspoken responsibility for the emotions around them. Many have spent years navigating a world that asked them to be smaller, quieter, more agreeable, or less true to themselves.
They may identify as queer, neurodivergent, or be part of non-traditional relationships — but above all, they’re people trying to find their way back to themselves.
Often natural caregivers, they’re moving through big life shifts, untangling old roles, and beginning to imagine what it means to live more fully in their truth — while simultaneously healing from burnout, relational wounds, or questions of identity and belonging.
Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you.
It’s about honoring the parts of you that have long been overlooked — even by yourself.
In our sessions, we’ll slow down and listen inward. Together, we’ll explore the patterns, expectations, and internalized “shoulds” that no longer serve you — and find a new way forward that feels right for you.

Frequently-Asked Questions

I support adults navigating burnout, anxiety, identity exploration, people-pleasing patterns, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are looking for a space where they don’t have to explain or defend who they are — where they can feel seen, supported, and more deeply connected to themselves.

Absolutely. Therapy isn’t just for when everything falls apart — it can also be a place for growth, reflection, and healing long-standing patterns. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from a space that’s fully centered on you.

Yes — research consistently shows that virtual therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions for many concerns. Online therapy offers added accessibility and comfort, especially for clients who are neurodivergent, chronically busy, or prefer the privacy of their own space.
-
The free consultation is a 20-minute phone call where we get to know each other a bit. You can share what’s bringing you to therapy, ask any questions you have, and see if this feels like the right fit. There’s no pressure — just an open conversation to discuss your needs.
-
Sessions are typically 50 minutes and typically held weekly or bi-weekly, though this can vary based on your needs and schedule. We’ll work together to find a rhythm that feels supportive and sustainable for you.
-
My rate is $190 per 50-minute session. I do not accept insurance, but I do accept HSA cards for payment.
Here’s to the courage of being seen — and to the strength of claiming space where it’s seldom freely given.
