I’m so glad you found me!

I specialize in supporting empaths, LGBTQ+ folx, neurodivergent minds, and those navigating ethical non-monogamy.

Because I understand the nuances and unique challenges of these experiences, our work together can be deepmeaningful, and fully supportive.

I’m passionate about helping clients move past the barriers that hold them back, so they can live more freely and authentically.

My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and equipped to grow—so you can feel more at ease in yourself and your relationships.

How We’ll Work Together

I take a strength-based, client-focused approach.

After all, you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to support you in identifying and achieving your goals. Acting as a sounding board, I will walk with you on your journey of self-discovery and use therapeutic modalities that are best tailored towards your needs.

Therapy doesn’t have to be a solemn process. I believe in making space for laughter, humor, and warmth so you can feel at ease – and even enjoy – the hard work of healing.

In relationship work, the relationship itself is my client.

When supporting couples and triads with enhancing relationship satisfaction, we’ll look at the dynamics present between the individuals and empower the system itself to harmonize.

This could involve building communication and emotion regulation skills or using attachment-based awareness to increase safety and intimacy within the relationship structure.

big life transitions...

I know a little thing or two about

In 2012, I took a big leap of faith by crossing state lines and leaving my high school teaching career to pursue a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Cincinnati (2014). Ever since then, I have been committed to helping clients enhance their mental wellness and pursue their dreams.

I have been specializing in supporting non-monogamous and LGBT+ clients since becoming independently licensed in 2016, and decided to open my own practice in 2019 in order to better meet the needs of my queer and polyamorous clients. Speaking of life transitions, I made yet another significant one by moving from Ohio to Virginia during COVID lockdown, which is why I am licensed in the states of Ohio, Kentucky, and Virginia.

  • In my personal life, I love going camping, spending time in nature, and all the other stereotypical hippy shit you might expect from a therapist (honestly, what more can you expect from a therapist who named her practice after a tree?). I am learning to zoom around on pink rainbow rider roller skates. I would describe myself as a color-loving slightly-witchy feminist chick who adores animals, is a big nerd, and whose guilty pleasure is reality TV.
